The City of Fort Pierce is making excellent progress with our cleanup and recovery efforts and we are happy to report that this will be the final advisory regarding Hurricane Dorian. We are looking forward to welcoming back the public to City Hall and all city facilities tomorrow at 8:00 AM.

As of 3:00 PM, the latest information is listed below:

Boat Ramps
The boat ramps at both South Causeway Park (Seaway Drive) and Jaycee Park (Melaleuca Drive) are closed until further notice due to damage sustained from Hurricane Dorian.

Rescheduled Public Meeting Schedule
Due to the closure of City Hall on September 3, 2019, the City Commission Regular Meeting, FPRA Special Meeting and Budget Hearing were cancelled. Please be advised that the meetings have been rescheduled as follows:

Monday, September 9, 2019
5.05 PM – General Fund Budget Hearing
5:45 PM – FPRA Budget Hearing at FPRA Special Meeting

Monday, September 16, 2019
6:30 PM – 1st reading of budget ordinance at City Commission Regular Meeting

Monday, September 23, 2019
5:05 PM – 2nd reading of budget ordinance and items from 9/3/19 Commission meeting at Special City Commission Meeting

Swimming Advisory
Due to the potential effects on water quality related to Hurricane Dorian, the Florida Department of Health in St. Lucie has issued a county-wide precautionary swim advisory for all public beaches. At this time, swimming is not recommended. For more information, visit the link below.
