[ARCHIVED] City of Fort Pierce Commissioners Seek Applications for the Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful Board

City of Fort Pierce Commissioners are inviting community-minded residents to apply for seats on the Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful board. This valued board, appointed by the City Commission, is dedicated to engaging, educating, and empowering citizens to actively participate in initiatives aimed at fostering a cleaner and more visually appealing city.

The mission of the Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful Board is to spearhead efforts in litter cleanup, waste reduction, recycling programs, and community beautification projects, all aimed at enhancing the overall well-being and prosperity of Fort Pierce. By collaborating with local stakeholders and residents, the board endeavors to cultivate a sense of pride and ownership in maintaining a pristine environment for current and future generations.

Affiliated with Keep America Beautiful, the Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful Board convenes for meetings every third Tuesday of the month at 11:00 AM, hosted at the Fort Pierce Garden Club. These meetings serve as a platform for brainstorming ideas, coordinating initiatives, and fostering partnerships that contribute to the city's aesthetic appeal.

Interested individuals who are passionate about contributing to the betterment of Fort Pierce are encouraged to apply. Applications for board membership can be accessed on the City of Fort Pierce website at http://www.cityoffortpierce.com/DocumentCenter/View/937/Boards-and-Committee-Application-New-or-Reappointment. The deadline for submission is Friday, February 23, 2024. Completed applications should be sent to the City Clerk's Office at lcox@cityoffortpierce.com.
