City of Fort Pierce Commissioners Seek Applications for the Newly Formed Affordable Housing Advisory Committee 


The Fort Pierce City Commission is accepting applications for the newly formed Affordable Housing Advisory Committee (AHAC). This is a City Commission nine-member appointed committee that is tasked with making recommendations to the City Commission regarding the creation, incentivization, and development processes for affordable housing in the City of Fort Pierce. 
The Committee meeting dates have not yet been established.  Qualified individuals include, but are not limited to, representatives from the following categories with a connection to affordable housing: residential home builders; banking or mortgage industry; home building labor representatives; low-income advocates; for-profit providers of affordable housing; not-for-profit affordable housing provider; a real estate professional; member of the City’s planning agency; city resident; employer representative; or essential services personnel. Any qualified individual is encouraged to apply no later than December 15, 2022.
