City of Fort Pierce Launches Home Purchase Assistance Programs
The City of Fort Pierce’s Grants announces the Home Purchase Assistance Program to begin accepting applications on Monday, October 24, 2022, at 9:00 AM and will close when all funds have been expended. Applications will be available online by visiting the website at https://cityoffortpierce.com/503/Open-Grant-Opportunities
The City has allocated $960,000 of the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) combined with the State Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP) Home Purchase Assistance funds for the Fiscal Year 2022-2023. Funding will assist eligible applicants. The home purchase must be within the city limits.
Applications will be processed on a first submitted, first qualified, first-served basis, subject to funding availability. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ALL applicants are required to attend a Virtual Mandatory Orientation prior to application submittal. Interested parties may register at https://cityoffortpierce.com/FormCenter/Grants-Administration-21/Housing-Programs-Mandatory-Orientation-R-107 beginning Wednesday, October 5, 2022. In-person orientation will be held on October 20, 2022, at 5:30 PM at the River Walk Center.
NOTE: Applications will not be reviewed if proof of orientation attendance is not provided.
This initiative is being supported, in whole or part, by federal award number SLFRP5533 granted to the City of Fort Pierce by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. The City Commission allocated $900,000 of the American Rescue Plan Act Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (ARPA-SLFRF) to fund the home purchase assistance program.
