Tropical Depression Fred is now located 315 miles ESE of Key West, Florida, and moving WNW at 10 mph. Maximum sustained winds are 35 mph.  Fred is expected to move north of Cuba this evening, make a slight NW turn, and move through the Florida Keys on Saturday. The storm is expected to strengthen back to tropical storm strength as it tracks off Florida’s west coast and moves north. A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the Florida Keys and a Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for the southwest coast of Florida. Locally we can expect heavy rain and strong winds over the weekend.

Sand Distribution
The City of Fort Pierce is offering free self-serve sandbag stations for residents at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dreamland Park (S. 25th Street), Pioneer Park (N. 29th Street), and Jaycee Park (S.
