SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE-THRU GIVEAWAY
In partnership with the Treasure Coast Food Bank and Children’s Service Council of St. Lucie County, the City of Fort Pierce is offering a free, drive-thru backpack school supplies event on Saturday, August 15 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Percy Peek Gymnasium located at 2902 Avenue D in Fort Pierce. Students will receive a backpack filled with school supplies, 5-pack of cloth masks, and clear water bottles, while the family will get a family food pack, snack box, milk, hand sanitizer and other items just in time for school. Basic school supplies will be available for elementary, middle, and high school students. Supplies are limited. A maximum of 2 backpacks will be given per vehicle on a first come, first served basis.

 SMALL BUSINESS GRANTS
St. Lucie County continues to offer small business grants. Businesses with up to 3 employees will be eligible for grants up to $5,000 and businesses with 4 to 10 employees will be eligible for grants up to $7,500. The application process launched on August 3, 2020. For more information, visit: www.recoverstlucie.org.

FLORIDA SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is offering mobile consultation and assistance with Small Business CARES Act Grant applications. The SBDC will in Fort Pierce on Tuesday, August 18 and Tuesday, August 25 at the following locations: Downtown Fort Pierce Main Street 9am-noon and Lincoln Park Main Street from 1pm-3pm. FREE COVID TESTING
Florida Community Health Centers, Inc. is hosting FREE COVID-19 testing for St. Lucie County residents, Monday thru Thursday from 9am to noon at their Fort Pierce location: 1505 Delaware Avenue. No appointment necessary.

CITY FACILITY PUBLIC ACCESS 

City Hall – Open by appointment only. Call (772) 467-3000.

Police Department Main Station and Substation – Open by appointment only. Call (772) 467-6800.

Sunrise Theatre –The Sunrise Theatre has canceled all theatre performances through October 31, 2020. The Black Box shall continue to host small scale events.

City Marina – Open to the public and practicing social distancing.

Indian Hills Golf Course – Open to the public and practicing social distancing.

Beaches, Parks, Boat Ramps – Open.
