WHO: Ft. Pierce Westwood Academy and Ft. Pierce Central High School Exceptional Education Students
WHAT: Student Perks is a student run coffee kiosk that provides a work skills opportunity for St. Lucie Public Schools Exceptional Education Students. The goal of the coffee shop is to support students in their efforts to refine skills that will aid them as they transfer to competitive employment after high school. This is the fourth Student Perks site. The other sites are located at the Board of County Commissioners Administration Building in Ft. Pierce, Port St. Lucie City Hall and at the Paula A. Lewis Library in Port St. Lucie.

WHY: Student Perks offers students the opportunity to work with customers to hone their skills in the area of nutrition, money, marketing, social skills, safety, work ethics and working with the public. This practical application of their skills truly enhances and expands their educational program.
