[ARCHIVED] Unity in the Community

FPPD

The Fort Pierce Police Department is less than a week away from hosting our 3rd Annual Unity In Our Community, an event Fort Pierce residents have looked forward to since it began.
The free, family-empowering day will be held Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at the Percy Peek Gymnasium, located at 2902 Avenue D. More than 50 local social service agencies and approximately 1,500 people are expected to participate.

We encourage attendees to arrive early to take advantage of the valuable resources, including services for seniors, offender re-entry, health screenings, HIV/STI testing, education, parenting, mentoring, and much.

Starting at 11 a.m., the activities on the stage will begin. There will be a mini lip sync battle, drawings for chances to win door prizes, agency spotlights, and several kid-centered activities such as face painting, a slip and slide, and wet and dry bounce houses for the children to enjoy. A free lunch will be served at 12:00 p.m.

The mission of Unity In Our Community is to enable our residents to be empowered by strengthening their relationship with the community and the Police Department.
