[ARCHIVED] Free Alarm Registration Now Available Online

Alarm Ordinance

Homeowners and businesses in the City of Fort Pierce can now register their security and fire alarms online for free through a new service designed to help reduce the number of false-alarm calls that police officers, deputies and firefighters respond to every day.

In accordance with the City of Fort Pierce alarm permit ordinance, residents and businesses within Fort Pierce city limits are required to register their alarm systems annually. For the public’s convenience, registration, payment and false alarm notifications are now accessible online as part of an agreement with Public Safety Corporation’s software called Crywolf.

All alarm users, whether residential or business, must register with Public Safety Corporation online by Thursday, June 15, 2017 at https://www.crywolfservices.com/fortpiercefl. Users can check their accounts at any time to ensure accuracy of their alarm information. Registrations are valid for one year and must be renewed annually.

Alarm users with repeat false alarm reports may be subject to fines, dependent on the number of false alarms within a 12-month period and based upon the following fee schedule. This is intended to reduce the occurrence of false alarms, which require considerable police and fire resources to respond.
