City of Lights Fort Pierce.jpg

The City of Fort Pierce is excited to announce its first annual City of Lights Holiday Decorating Contest scheduled to take place until January 3, 2017.

The City of Lights Decorating Contest is designed to encourage the community to decorate and beautify their homes, businesses and neighborhoods during the holiday season. Anyone within city limits is eligible to participate and will be placed on the City of Lights self-guided tour map for everyone to explore and enjoy! The City’s focus is to engage citizens to share in the holiday spirit – whether decorating themselves, nominating a friend or neighbor, or driving around to see the lights, it will be fun for the whole family!

By voting online at www.LoveFortPierce.com, the community will select the top contestants in each of the four categories: single family residence, business, neighborhood, and condo/apartment, and then the Keep Fort Pierce Advisory Board will choose the winners. Registration opens today and closes on December 11, 2016, online voting will begin immediately after on December 12, 2016. Sponsored by Keep Fort Pierce Beautiful, each category winner will receive $250 and a yard sign which will be presented at the January 3, 2017 City Commission meeting at Fort Pierce City Hall.
