[ARCHIVED] Review, Comment and Public Hearings Scheduled for Fort Pierce Assessment of Fair Housing Report

The City of Fort Pierce has created a draft Assessment of Fair Housing Report for 2016-2020 (October 1, 2016-September 30, 2020), per the requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which will be submitted to HUD by August 15, 2016.

The purpose of the Assessment of Fair Housing Report is to help the analyze challenges to fair housing choice and establish goals and priorities to address fair housing barriers.

The draft Assessment of Fair Housing Report identifies five (5) impediments to fair housing within the City of Fort Pierce and goals/actions to remedy these impediments. The draft report and a synopsis in English and Spanish are available for review on the City’s website at http://cityoffortpierce.com/399/Community-Development-Block-Grant-CDBG and also at Fort Pierce City Hall, 100 North U.S. Hwy. 1, in the Department of Urban Redevelopment, between June 30 and August 1, 2016. Interested parties are asked to call 772-467-3169 or email ewoodruff@city-ftpierce.com to request a copy of the draft plan.

A presentation and two public hearings on the Assessment of Fair Housing Report for 2016-2020 will be held at regularly-scheduled City Commission meetings on July 5 and August 1, 2016, beginning at 6:30 pm in the City Commission Chambers at the Fort Pierce City Hall, 100 North U.S. Hwy. 1. Interested parties are encouraged to attend and participate.
