The City of Fort Pierce is excited to announce a significant advancement in the highly anticipated King’s Landing project in Downtown Fort Pierce. During the City Commission meeting on August 12, 2024, the City Commission approved a second amendment to the Amended and Restated Agreement, marking a pivotal step in turning this transformative vision into reality.
This milestone follows successful negotiations between Audubon Development and Harbert Realty Services, who have agreed on essential terms necessary to finalize a future joint venture agreement. This joint venture is a critical step toward the development of King’s Landing, a project eagerly awaited by our community. The combined expertise and resources of these partners will be instrumental in bringing this project to life.
The amendment modifies the development timeline to allow for the formation of the joint venture and additional due diligence. It also ensures that monthly progress updates will be provided to the City Commission, emphasizing our commitment to transparency and accountability throughout this process. Additionally, the amendment includes a requirement for documentation related to a franchise application to Marriott International by January 29, 2025. The development of a downtown hotel has always been a key component of this project, and we are dedicated to making that a reality.
