The City of Fort Pierce recognizes the strong connection our community has with Little Jim’s and values its historical and cultural significance. As you may know, the existing 20-year lease for Little Jim’s has expired. In accordance with City Code Section 2-425, the City is required to initiate a competitive bidding process for all leases exceeding one year.
This process ensures fairness, transparency, and compliance with established regulations while providing interested parties the opportunity to submit proposals. We remain committed to preserving the character of this cherished location and maintaining an open and equitable process for all stakeholders.
A formal request for proposals (RFP) is expected to be issued in the first week of March. Please note that during a solicitation or renegotiation of a contract/RFP, offerors, and their representatives must communicate solely with the designated procurement official or agent, as specified in the solicitation. Contact with City officers, employees, or officials is prohibited unless authorized by the procurement official or outlined in the solicitation. Violations of these provisions may result in disqualification, suspension, or debarment.
