City of Fort Pierce Accepting Nominations for 2026 Youth Award Recognition Program

FORT PIERCE, FL – Are you inspired by a middle or high school student who has gone above and beyond to achieve success, excelled in academics or athletics, or overcome personal adversity to create a positive change in their life or the lives of others? The Mayor and City Commissioners want to hear from you.

The City of Fort Pierce City Commission is now accepting nominations for the City of Fort Pierce Youth Award Recognition Program. The deadline to submit nominations is March 31, 2026.

This award program is designed to showcase the talents, celebrate the achievements, and highlight the positive efforts of Fort Pierce youth who are making a meaningful impact in the community. Twice each year, residents, business owners, and social and civic leaders have the opportunity to demonstrate their support for local youth by recognizing their accomplishments and contributions.

Eligible youth must:

• Reside within the City of Fort Pierce
• Provide proof of address
• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
• Be enrolled in middle or high school
• Be of good character
• Meet all award eligibility criteria

Youth may be nominated in one of the following six categories:

1. Innovator Award – Recognizes youth who demonstrate excellence in math and science through research, study, or community improvement.
2. Beyond the View Award – Recognizes youth with different accommodations and needs whose abilities and contributions should be viewed as equal to anyone else.
3. Humanitarian Award – Recognizes youth who work to make their community a better place or who are active in local or state government.
4. Visionary Award – Recognizes youth who transform creativity and knowledge into an entrepreneurial or economic venture.
5. Role Model Award – Recognizes youth who serve as positive examples by helping peers and younger youth in the community.
6. Student-Athlete Award – Recognizes students who demonstrate excellence in the classroom while also participating as an athlete.

Award recipients will be announced in June 2026.
