City of Fort Pierce Commission Seeks Applications for Communitywide Council Advisory Board

FORT PIERCE, FL – The Fort Pierce City Commission is currently seeking dedicated individuals to serve on the Communitywide Council (CWC). This advisory board plays a crucial role in providing public review and comments on the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) 5-Year Consolidated Plan and Annual Action Plans. Additionally, the CWC is responsible for evaluating and scoring public service nonprofit organizations and small business grant applications, which are then considered by the City Commission.

Beyond these responsibilities, the CWC will also be tasked with reviewing citizen feedback on issues related to the city's various housing programs. This will help city staff effectively manage concerns raised by community members.

The CWC meets approximately five times a year. Eligible applicants must be residents of the City of Fort Pierce or live within the CDBG Target area.
