Web Link Policy

The purpose of this policy is to insure our Web site stays manageable and in focus. The following guidelines define the procedure for handling external link requests. 

• Consideration will only be given to links to other government agencies or agencies closely related to the City of Fort Pierce.
• The request to add a link to the City of Fort Pierce Web site will be submitted through the City Manager's Communications Director. If a link request is not clear as to its falling within the established guidelines, the request may be elevated to the City Manager.
• All link requestors will be notified that their link request has been received and will be notified as to the decision regarding the request.
• No external link request will be permitted in the form of an advertisement, commercial banner, or any other item that violates the above policy. Exceptions may be made for non-profit corporations or recognized media organizations or those organizations that perform duties that enhance the enviroment.
• The order in which they link appears is at the discretion of the Director of Communications.
