STATE HOUSING INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP (SHIP) PROGRAM
SHIP Program is designed to provide affordable housing to persons of low to moderate income. The down payment assistance program will assist income eligible participants with the purchase of a new or existing home. The rehabilitation program will assist income eligible, owner-occupied homeowners with minor rehabilitation and emergency repairs. Contact Office for Application Distribution.

ENTERPRISE ZONE TAX INCENTIVES PROGRAM
Enterprise Zone Tax Incentives Program is targeted for economic revitalization. This program offers financial incentives to businesses located in designated areas of the City, and is designed to encourage private investment as well as employment opportunities for area residents. Forms are available at the office for businesses located in the Enterprise Zone interested in:
- Property Tax Credit
- Jobs Tax Credit (Corporate income tax)
- Jobs Tax Credit (sales tax)
- Building Material Sales Tax Refund
- Business Equipment Sales Tax Refund
- Community Contribution Tax Credit Program

FAIR HOUSING
The City of Fort Pierce's Fair Housing Ordinance, the Florida Fair Housing Act, and the Federal Fair Housing Act make it illegal for anyone to refuse to rent, sell or make housing loans because of the following factors: race or color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, or handicap. If you believe your rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the Community Development Division.
