    ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FL - St. Lucie Public Schools (SLPS) invites fathers and male caregivers to come back to school! On Wednesday, September 26, a movement across the state of Florida will be put into motion whereby fathers and male caregivers are encouraged to bring their child to school, sign a pledge of involvement, and demonstrate the value of being involved in their child’s education -- Dads Take Your Child to School Day. Dads, Take Your Child to School Day is an opportunity for all men to show their commitment to the educational lives of children. It also marks the beginning of a year-long commitment by men. For this reason, the movement is an influential and celebrated event.

  3. Proposed Half-Cent Sales Tax Open House

    September 26, 2018, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Havert L. Fenn Center

    Voters who want to learn more about the proposed half-cent sales tax -- and the local improvement projects it could fund -- will have a chance to speak directly with officials from St. Lucie County, Port St. Lucie and Fort Pierce at two upcoming open house events. These events are meant to give voters a chance to ask questions and receive information about the half-cent sales tax proposal, which will be question #14 on the November 6 ballot. There will be two open house opportunities: • September 26 in Fort Pierce at the Fenn Center, 2000 Virginia Ave, or • September 27 at the Port St. Lucie Community Center, 2195 SE Airoso Blvd.
