The City Attorney is, pursuant to the City Charter, legal advisor to and counselor for, the City and all of its officers in matters relating to their official duties.
The City Attorney represents the City before all levels of State and Federal Courts, reviews and approves as to form all City contracts, agreements and documents, as well as reviewing and endorsing all City bonds.

The City Attorney also serves as legal advisor to, and provides legal services for, the Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency, a dependent special district of the City.
